a new demo and a chat 💟

Hello all-

Today, March 6th, is Bandcamp Friday— that mystical day where Bandcamp waives its revenue share and gives 100% of its funds to artists & labels. I put a demo I made recently of a song called “Every Conscious Second” on there for your listening pleasure. You may have heard it if you’ve kept up with this newsletter or seen me live in the past year.

(I tried to embed it as I’ve done previously, but it wouldn’t let me for some reason.)

It’s just me and my autoharp, semi-polished but rough around the edges. Lyrics are on the site. Pay what you want— all proceeds from this track, even after today, will be going to Red’s Good Vibes, which sends emergency funds to at-risk immigrant communities in the Seacoast, NH and ME area.

You have probably heard of the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, but there have been at least 11 other ICE-related deaths in the United States so far in 2026:¹

There have also been several shootings by ICE that have not resulted in death.

Wael Tarabishi also died this year after his father and sole caregiver, Maher Tarabishi, was detained by ICE despite following all the necessary protocol to stay in the US legally, as he had done for the past 31 years.

ICE has been a brutal organization since its inception, but 2025 was a particularly deadly year with 32 deaths in ICE custody, often due to medical emergencies. Here are their names:
